Realtime Log Monitoring in Your Browser

Install Log.io

# Ubuntu/Debian
$ sudo apt-get install nodejs-legacy npm

# CentOS
$ sudo yum install nodejs npm

# Install log.io
$ sudo npm install -g log.io --user "ubuntu"

Launch server

$ log.io-server

Configure Log Harvester

$ cat ~/.log.io/harvester.conf
exports.config = {
  nodeName: "server01",
  logStreams: {
    examplecom: [
      "/var/log/nginx/example.com.access.log",
      "/var/log/nginx/example.com.error.log"
    ],
    miteshcom: [
      "/var/log/nginx/mitesh.com.access.log",
      "/var/log/nginx/mitesh.com.error.log"
    ]
  },
  server: {
    host: '0.0.0.0',
    port: 28777
  }
}

Start log harvester

$ log.io-harvester
